Annual Antarctic snowfall accumulation anomalies (mm/yr), in red) during 1955-2004, adapted from Monaghan et al. (2006b[1]) and Monaghan and Bromwich (2008[2]). Anomalies are with respect to the 1955-2004 mean. The five-year running mean is shown in blue. The ±95% confidence intervals for the annual anomalies are shown in grey. The statistical uncertainty accounts for the variance, as well as that due to the methodology and measurement error.
