Diatom (blue) and highly-branched isoprenoid (red) records from a sediment core retrieved from the Adélie Trough off Wilkes Land, East Antarctica. High values of the F. curta/F. kerguelensis ratio (left axis) and the C25:2/C25:3 ratio (right axis) during the Neoglacial indicate greater sea ice cover over the core location (Massé and Crosta, unpublished data)
